MOTIVATE YOUR STUDENTS TOWARDS READING BOOKS

As a teacher, an important duty is to motivate students towards reading books, books like novel, biography, autobiography, poetry, etc. along with their course books. But how ? Here are few tips that I have been applying in case of my students to increase their interest in reading books

As a teacher, an important duty is to motivate students towards book reading, books like novel, biography, autobiography, poetry, etc. along with their course books. But how ? Here are few tips that I have been applying in case of my students to increase their interest in reading books.

Carry a book to the Classroom

Always carry with you a book to the classroom during your class time. Students observe what kind of books their teachers read, and they try to read them accordingly. You can say something about the book that you carried with. It will give them an extra motivation to own the book and go through it.

Gift a book to the students

It is good to advise students to read books as much as possible. However, it will be better if you can gift a book to them. So, rather than giving advice, give your students a book in reality. It will make them realized the value of a book.

Make WhtatsApp Status

WhatsApp Status' have strong influence in the minds of its visitors. Most of the people send some messages through their WhatsApp Status. Rather making fashion-model-like Status, we teachers should make status with book covers that we already have read. Seeing your such status your students will be motivated to read books and make them their WhatsApp status. It gives me very positive result.

Write book reviews

Write book reviews that you already have read and post it to your Facebook page. Request your students to like and follow your page so that you can approach towards your targeted goal.

Remember, if you cannot show your students that you read books then you never make their minds to do so. You must be able to become an ideal person for them.
